Wishwas 2013.

Wishwas is a New York City based not-for-profit organization. Their mission is to empower low-income immigrant women who are in disadvantaged situations by training them in various skills through which, they can gainfully employ themselves.

Spencer Devine partnered with Wishwas to help their livelihood initiative here in Brooklyn, where women in Cypress Hills are using their sewing skills to create cork cases with repurposed leather from manufacturers in Manhattan.  This is a fully sustainable project that fosters the women’s confidence and financial freedom while allowing them to contribute to their families’ income.
